Hey, I love barns. I grew up on a farm and have spent many days working with livestock and making repairs to the barn on our family farm over the years. I also love hotels, and the convenience of a large conference room literally attached the space you and your guests are sleeping in is tough to beat.
But if you're looking for a one-of-kind venue with "wow factors" around every corner and the convenience of an all-in-one space, you might want to consider our hidden little gem in Streator, Illinois.
No, we aren't located in Chicago, or the suburbs, or Bloomington, or Normal, or Peoria, or....well, you get it. We're in Streator. Chances are you haven't heard of Streator. And chances are if you HAVE heard of Streator you're wondering why you would ever want to get married here.
Well, one of the nice things about the Silver Fox and our venue being located in Streator is that we're closer than you might think to all those cities I listed above. Being situated right smack-dab in the middle of interstates 55, 39, and 80, we are great middle ground between Chicago and downstate Illinois.
We also have what I like to call the "small town discount." Let me explain.
With the building having been built in 1906 by Streator's local Freemason chapter, you know there were no expenses spared at the time. There are massive doors, towering ceilings, balcony seating, hidden passageways, secret rooms, and architectural details galore.
When I bought the building in 2013, my family and I added all the modern touches of style with chandeliers, furnishings plus the important functional things like air conditioning and updated bathrooms.
Which leaves us with a magnificently built historic build with modern flair, all set in the interesting and mysterious setting of a Masonic Temple.
This wedding would cost double, triple, quadruple, or 10 times the price if we were located in some of those cities I listed above. But fortunately for you, we are located in Streator.
The bottom line is we provide you an amazing, top tier venue at an affordable price. If you refuse to sacrifice taste, quality, and experience, but also want to save some money for a down payment on a house, an amazing honeymoon, or just think the idea of spending $50000 on a wedding is bit wild, then you might just have found your place.
Download our pricing and information guide for more details, and contact us to set up a tour. We would love to get to know you and show you everything we have to offer!
All the best and happy venue searching!
